Overview

The Email Settings section in WPRentals controls the general sender and design options for emails sent by the theme.

Use this section to manage:

  • The email format: HTML or plain text.
  • The sender name shown in the email.
  • The sender email address used by the website.
  • The email logo.
  • The email header and footer.
  • The footer text and address display.
  • The social icons shown in the email footer.
  • The email background and content colors.

You can find these options in:

Theme Options > Email Management > Email Settings

Important: This section does not edit the subject or message text of each email notification. To edit the text of notifications such as booking requests, password reset emails, invoice emails, or registration emails, use Theme Options > Email Management > Email Content.

Email Settings vs Email Content

WPRentals has separate sections for email design/sender settings and email message content.

Section Use it for
Email Settings Sender name, sender email, email format, logo, header, footer, social icons, and colors.
Email Content Email notification subject and message text.
Duplicate Email Adding an admin email address that receives copies of theme email notifications.
SMS Management SMS notification setup through Twilio.
Important: If you want to change what the email says, edit Email Content. If you want to change who the email is sent from or how the email looks, edit Email Settings.

Where to Find Email Settings

Go to:

Theme Options > Email Management > Email Settings

From this section, you can configure the general email format, sender details, email header, email footer, logo, social icons, and email colors.

Recommended Setup

For most websites, we recommend this setup:

  • Set emails to HTML if you want the logo, colors, header, footer, and social icons to show.
  • Use your website or company name as the sender name.
  • Use a real email address from your domain as the sender email.
  • Upload a small, optimized logo for the email header.
  • Enable the footer only if you want to show company details or social links.
  • Use simple colors that match your website branding.
Important: The sender email should be accepted by your hosting provider or SMTP provider. A fake email address or an email from another domain can cause delivery problems.

Send Emails as HTML or Text

This option controls the format of the emails sent by the theme.

HTML Emails

Select HTML if you want emails to use the visual design options from this panel.

HTML emails can use:

  • Email logo.
  • Email header.
  • Email footer.
  • Background colors.
  • Content background colors.
  • Social icons.

Text Emails

Select Text if you want emails to be sent as plain text.

When Text is selected, design options such as logo, colors, header layout, footer layout, and social icons will not apply. The email will use the text configured in the Email Content section.

Important: If the logo or colors do not show in emails, first check that emails are set to HTML.

Emails Will Be Sent From Name

This option controls the From Name shown in emails sent by the theme.

This is the name recipients see as the sender of the email.

Examples:

  • WPRentals
  • Your Company Name
  • Your Website Name

Use a clear name that helps users recognize your website or company.

Emails Will Be Sent From Email

This option controls the sender email address used by the theme.

For best delivery results, use a valid email address connected to your website domain.

Recommended examples:

  • [email protected]
  • [email protected]
  • [email protected]
Important: Some hosting providers require the sender email address to be created on the same domain as the website. If the sender email is not valid or not allowed by the hosting server, emails may not be delivered.

If this field is left blank, the website or server default sender may be used. This can create delivery problems or make emails look suspicious to the recipient email provider.

Display Email Header

This option controls whether the email header section is displayed.

  • Yes – the email header is displayed. This usually includes the email logo.
  • No – the email header is hidden.
Important: The email header applies only when emails are sent as HTML.

Email Logo

Use this option to upload the logo shown in the email header.

  • Click Upload to select an image from the Media Library.
  • Click Remove to delete the current logo.
Tip: Use a small, optimized logo. If the image is very large, it may display too large in the email and affect the email layout.

Display Email Footer

This option controls whether the email footer section is displayed at the bottom of the email.

  • Yes – the email footer is displayed.
  • No – the email footer is hidden.
Important: The email footer applies only when emails are sent as HTML.

Show Address in Email Footer

This option controls whether the website or company address is shown in the email footer.

  • Yes – the address is shown in the footer.
  • No – the address is hidden from the footer.

The company address is managed from:

Theme Options > Social & Contact > Contact Page Details

Contact Page Details

Footer Content

If Display Email Footer is enabled, the text added in Footer Content will show in the email footer.

Example footer text:

Please do not reply directly to this email. If you need assistance, contact us through the website contact page.

You can use this field for short footer information, support instructions, or a simple company notice.

Social Icons and Links

You can add up to 3 social media icons with links in the email footer.

For each social icon, configure:

  • Social Icon No. 1, 2, and 3 – upload the icon image.
  • Link Social Account No. 1, 2, and 3 – add the matching social media profile URL.
Important: Make sure each icon has the correct matching link. For example, the Facebook icon should link to your Facebook page, and the Instagram icon should link to your Instagram profile.

Email Colors

These options apply when emails are sent as HTML.

Email Background Color

This option controls the background color of the full email area.

Email Content Background Color

This option controls the background color of the main email content area.

Important: Email colors and logo settings apply only to HTML emails. If emails are set to Text format, these design options will not apply.

If Emails Are Not Delivered

The Email Settings section controls the sender and design settings, but it does not control final email delivery.

If emails are not received, check:

  • The sender email address is valid.
  • The sender email is accepted by your hosting provider or SMTP provider.
  • The email notification has a subject in Email Content.
  • The message is not in spam or junk.
  • The website mail function or SMTP setup is working.
  • The domain has correct SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records if emails go to spam.

  • Email logo, footer, colors, and social icons apply only when emails are sent as HTML.
  • If emails are sent as Text, design options do not apply.
  • The sender email should be a real email address accepted by the hosting provider or SMTP provider.
