To manage these settings, navigate to WPRentals Theme Options → General → List & Sidebar Appearance.
List & Sidebar Appearance overview
The List & Sidebar Appearance section controls how many properties are shown in property lists, how sidebars behave on taxonomy and archive pages, and which layout is used for property category, city, area, and other taxonomy pages.
These settings are important for property list pages, taxonomy pages, and map/list synchronization. If the number of properties in the list does not match what you expect, this is one of the first areas to check.
After changing any option in this section, click Save Changes.
Number of properties per page
The option No of Properties per Page in Property List Templates and Category/Taxonomy Lists controls how many properties are displayed per page in property list pages.
This applies to:
- Property List Standard pages
- Property List Half Map pages
- Property Category pages
- Property Taxonomy pages, such as city, area, type, category, or action
For example, if this value is set to 10, the list will show 10 properties per page. If more properties are available, the rest will be shown through pagination.
This setting controls the property list count. It does not control the global number of map pins. Map pins are controlled separately from Theme Options → Map Configuration.
WordPress Reading setting requirement
The value from Theme Options → General → List & Sidebar Appearance → No of Properties per Page must match the WordPress setting from Settings → Reading → Blog pages show at most.
For example, if you want 10 properties per page, set both options to 10.
This is required because WordPress also uses this value for archive-style pagination. If the two values are different, pagination or the number of properties shown on taxonomy/list pages may not behave as expected.
Sidebar position for taxonomy and archive pages
The option Select Sidebar Position for Property Category/Taxonomy List with Standard Layout and Blog Category/Archive List controls where the sidebar appears.
You can choose:
- No sidebar
- Right
- Left
This setting applies to:
- Property category and taxonomy pages using the Standard layout
- Blog category pages
- Blog archive pages
Important: The Half Map layout does not support sidebars. If a taxonomy page is set to Half Map layout, the sidebar setting will not apply.
Sidebar selection for blog category and archive pages
The option Property Category/Taxonomy and Blog Category/Archive – Select the Sidebar lets you choose which sidebar is used for blog category and archive pages.
You can create and manage sidebars from Appearance → Sidebars.
After creating a sidebar, return to Theme Options → General → List & Sidebar Appearance and select it from this option.
Layout type for property taxonomy pages
The option Layout Type for Property Category/Taxonomy List Pages controls the layout used for property taxonomy pages.
You can choose between:
- Standard – Shows properties in a regular list/grid layout. This layout can use a sidebar.
- Half Map – Shows the property list and map together. This layout does not support sidebars.
This setting applies to property taxonomy pages, such as property category, action, city, area, and similar taxonomy archive pages.
If you use the Half Map layout, the map and property list work together. The list shows the properties available for the current page, and the rest of the properties can be accessed through pagination.
Enable sticky sidebar for all pages
The option Enable Sticky Sidebar for all pages controls whether the sidebar remains visible while visitors scroll the page.
You can choose:
- Yes – The sidebar stays visible while scrolling.
- No – The sidebar scrolls normally with the page.
This option applies only on pages where a sidebar is displayed. It will not affect Half Map layouts because Half Map does not support sidebars.
