Overview
In WPRentals, the Terms and Conditions page can be used for the login/register modal, booking terms checkbox, and contact form consent options.
Create the Terms and Conditions Page
- Go to Pages > Add New.
- Add the title and your terms content.
- Assign the Terms and Conditions page template.
- Publish the page.
Terms Link in Login / Register Modal
After the page is created with the Terms and Conditions template, it is automatically linked in the Login / Register modal.
Booking Terms and Conditions Checkbox
The booking terms checkbox is managed separately from the login/register terms page.
Go to:
Theme Options > Booking Configuration > Form Display Settings
Set:
- Terms and Conditions URL – the page opened from the booking form terms link.
- Terms and Conditions checkbox text – the text shown next to the booking checkbox.
GDPR / Terms Checkbox for Contact Forms
The contact form consent checkbox is managed from:
Theme Options > Contact Form Settings
Set Use GDPR Checkbox? to Yes.
This checkbox applies to theme contact forms that use the Owner Contact Form functionality.
How to Enable the GDPR Checkbox in the Contact Form
Sidebar Settings for the Terms Page
The Terms and Conditions page is a normal WordPress page, so the sidebar is controlled from the page settings.
- Edit the Terms and Conditions page.
- Find Sidebar Settings.
- Choose the sidebar position: Right, Left, or None.
- Select the sidebar you want to display.
- Update the page.
To create a custom sidebar, go to:
Appearance > Sidebars
To add content to the sidebar, go to:
Appearance > Widgets
Use One Page or Separate Pages
You can use the same legal page for login/register terms, booking terms, and contact form consent.
You can also create separate pages for:
- Registration terms
- Booking terms
- Cancellation policy
- Privacy policy
- GDPR consent
