What You Need to Import External Property Feeds

If you want to import property listings into WpRentals from an external feed, such as houses coming from an affiliate platform or data provider, you will need a dedicated import plugin.

WpRentals can display imported listings, but it does not include a built-in importer for feed files such as CSV, XML, JSON, RSS, or NDJSON.

Does WpRentals Include a Feed Importer

No, WpRentals does not include a native feed importer for these file types.

If your provider offers listing data in formats like CSV, XML, JSON, RSS, or NDJSON, you need a separate plugin that can import the feed data into WordPress and map it to the WpRentals property fields.

Recommended Import Plugin for WpRentals

The recommended solution is WP All Import, together with the addon created specifically for WpRentals.

This is the import solution we suggest when you need to bring external property feed data into the theme.

With this setup, you can map the feed fields to the WpRentals listing fields during the import process.

Supported Feed Formats

The easiest formats to work with are usually CSV and XML.

  • CSV is commonly used for structured property feeds and is usually simple to import
  • XML is also widely used and works well for property listing imports
  • JSON may also be possible, depending on the structure of the feed and what the import plugin supports
  • RSS and NDJSON are less common for property imports and may require extra preparation or conversion before import

If possible, it is best to ask the feed provider whether they can deliver the listings in CSV or XML format.

Recommended Setup for Beginners

If you are new to WordPress, the recommended path is:

  • ask the feed provider if they can give you the listing feed in CSV or XML format
  • install WP All Import Pro
  • install the WpRentals addon for WP All Import
  • map the feed fields to the WpRentals property fields during the import setup

This is the easiest and most flexible way to import external property data into WpRentals.
