How to manage Sleeping Arrangement / Bed Types Section

7529 views

The Sleeping Arrangements / Bed Types section lets you show how many beds are available in each bedroom of a listing.

This helps guests understand the sleeping capacity of the property before booking. It is especially useful for villas, apartments, shared spaces, and properties with several bedrooms.

Important: Sleeping Arrangements depend on the number of bedrooms added for the listing. If the listing has no bedrooms entered, the bed type fields will not show.

How Sleeping Arrangements work

The Sleeping Arrangements / Bed Types section is connected to the number of bedrooms added for the listing.

When the user enters the number of bedrooms in the listing details, WPRentals can display bed type fields for each bedroom.

For each bedroom, the user can add how many beds of each type are available, for example:

  • King bed
  • Queen bed
  • Single bed
  • Sofa bed

Add or edit Bed Types from the front-end dashboard

To add or edit the Sleeping Arrangements from the front-end submission form:

  1. Log in to the user dashboard.
  2. Click Add New Listing or edit an existing listing.
  3. Go to the Details section.
  4. Enter the number of bedrooms for the listing.
  5. The Sleeping Arrangements / Bed Types section will appear based on the number of bedrooms added.
  6. Add the number of beds for each bed type.
  7. Click Save or Continue to save the listing details.

Add or customize Bed Types

You can manage the available bed types from Theme Options.

Go to:

Theme Options > Listing Page > Listing Page Text Labels > Types of Beds

Add the bed types as a comma-separated list.

Example:

King,Queen,Single,Sofa Bed
Note: The bed types added here are the options used in the Sleeping Arrangements section.

Rename the Sleeping Arrangements section title

You can rename the title shown for this section on the listing page.

Go to:

Theme Options > Listing Page > Listing Page Text Labels > Sleeping Situation Label

Add the title you want to show, for example:

  • Sleeping Arrangements
  • Bed Configuration
  • Sleeping Situation

Enable or disable the field in the submit form

The Sleeping Arrangements fields depend on the Property Bedrooms field.

To show or hide this option in the front-end submit form, go to:

Theme Options > Add Listing Page & Payment Settings > Listing Submission Form

In the list of submit form fields, select or unselect:

Property Bedrooms

Important: Use CTRL on Windows or Command on Mac to select multiple fields in the list. If Property Bedrooms is removed from the submit form, users will not be able to add the number of bedrooms, so the Sleeping Arrangements / Bed Types fields will not appear.

Display the section on the listing page

The Sleeping Arrangements section can appear on the listing page under its own heading.

If you want to hide or move this section in the default listing page layout, use the Listing Page Layout Manager.
