Owner Contact Info – How it works

11395 views

The Owner Profile Page – Contact Information section explains who can view an owner’s contact details, how the contact form works for logged-in and non-logged-in users, and how messages are sent and received. It also covers GDPR settings and the process for creating an owner profile.

Who Cannot See the Contact Information?

  • Non-registered users: Cannot see the contact information.
  • Registered users without a confirmed booking: Cannot see the contact information.

Who Can See Contact Info?

  • Users with a confirmed booking: Can see the contact information.
  • Owners: Can see their own contact information.
  • Admins: Can see all contact information by default

How Contact the Owner form works for Logged-In Users:

  • The form includes: Check-in/check-out dates, guests, and a message.

Owner Receives the Message:

  • The owner gets an email notification about the new message.
  • The message details are included in the email, along with a generic message
  • The owner  sees the message in their Dashboard Inbox.

When a Reply is Sent, Recipient Gets an Email:

  • When the owner replies to the message, the recipient (the person who initially sent the message) will get an email with the reply.
  • The email is sent to the email address used for registration.
  • The recipient will also see the reply in their own dashboard under the My Inbox section, so they can easily track the conversation.

How Contact the Owner form works for  Non-Logged-In Users:

  • The form includes: Name, email (optional), check-in/check-out dates, guests, message, and optional phone number.

  • The owner gets an email to his Profile Email Address and sees the message in their email Inbox

Enable GDPR and Mobile in contact form

  • Go to Theme Options > Contact Form Settings.
  • Enable GDPR Checkbox and Mobile Number options if needed.

If you enable GDPR – you must create the GDPR page with the GDPR Terms template.

Go to Pages – Add New – And create a page with the template

This is how GDPR checkbox shows in the contact form:

How to have the Owner Profile page created

Owner profiles are only created when:

  • Users register via the front-end Register Form.
  • The split user option is enabled, and they select “I want to book and rent.”
  • The split user option is disabled, allowing all users to register as owners.

Splitting User Types at Registration

  • Go to: Register & Login Settings → Renter / Owner Separation

If Split Option is Enabled:

  • “I want to book and rent” → Creates an Owner Profile Page (can list properties).
  • “I only want to book” → No profile page, cannot list properties.

If Split Option is Disabled:

  • All users register as Owners (can list properties).
